The theme of the Lecture to be delivered by the Forum Chair, Prime Minister of the Cook Islands Hon. Puna is: “A new Optimism – A more Dynamic Pacific Plan”.
This year’s Lecture is of particular significance as the Forum prepares for a review of the Pacific Plan next year.
“The Annual Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Lecture gives an opportunity for Leaders to talk about some of their experiences and challenges in implementing the Pacific Plan which was endorsed in 2005 and also their vision for the future of the region,” Tuiloma Neroni Slade, Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat said.
“As the Forum Leaders’ Secretariat we are very privileged and honoured that the Forum Chair has accepted our invitation to deliver this address so soon after becoming Chair in August this year,” said Mr Slade.
