Headmaster of the school Wesley Goliath said the school needed to upgrade its facilities to meet their current status as one of the top-up primary schools in the island community.

The fundraising drive included live performances by ENB musicians Leonard Kania and his son Junior Leonard Kania.

He said apart from their fundraising drive, the event was also held to showcase students’ craft work. The students also performed various activities such as a traditional fashion parade and there were also many food stalls set up by parents and students.

The school administration has now urged all ex students and the Duke of York Local Level Government Administration to assist in rebuilding the school.

Mr Goliath thanked students and the staff of the school, the parents, the board of management, Leonard Kania and his son and other primary schools on the island for assisting during the two-day occasion.
